YOU CAN CONTROL YOUR OWN DESTINY!

The Collaborative Process

Avoid Court

A pledge by all parties, both spouses and their attorneys, not to go to Court to resolve their differences.

Maintain Honesty

The honest exchange of information and open communication in a mutually respectful and supportive environment.

Develop a Fair Settlement Plan

The development of a fair settlement plan by focusing on shared goals, as well as individual priorities, to optimize solutions which meet the unique needs of the entire family.

Why Collaborate?

The end of a marriage is always a very difficult and emotional transition for both spouses. If children are involved, they may also be greatly impacted by these life changes.

Often, many people focus their anger, fear, hurt and frustration on each other. The adversarial nature of a traditional litigated divorce may intensify and prolong these negative feelings making settlement increasingly difficult. The collaborative divorce process provides the support of trained professionals to assist each party in moving forward toward a resolution.

When the threat of litigation is removed, and communication can be open and unguarded, a settlement may be achieved on issues that seemed impossible to resolve
