In September of 2016 I entered into a collaborative divorce with my ex-wife using Monaco and Monte law firm. Antonietta Monaco help me through most difficult tim, divorce has many emotions which can cloud your judgment. She held my hand through the process and am very happy I did not go with the convention divorce. My ex wife and myself owned a business together real estate and our main residence. At the end we reached a fair agreement on all fronts and a huge cost savings course savings on our legal bills. There are many nuances other than the businesses such as child support and child visitation which obviously are the most important. I believe this process also made it easier on our children since then my ex-wife myself and become very good friends and still maintain a business together.
In conclusion I would highly recommend if all parties are remediable to go the route of a collaborative divorce.
Divorce is a challenging experience: emotionally, physically and lest we forget, financially. The collaborative method is the easiest and an economical way to settle a divorce. The splitting of assets becomes fact based and sets aside the emotions. If both parties can agree then I highly recommend the collaborative method.
Anne-Louise and her team were attentive and made this process as smooth as possible for this first timer. “
“Coming to the conclusion that divorce is the best solution to a failing relationship is not easy. After 20+ years of marriage, with 2 teenage children and a complicated family business to consider, it was daunting to think of how difficult untangling our life as married people would be. I dreaded the prospect of volatile legal and personal confrontations. I dreaded the thought of what it would mean financially and most importantly, the toll it would take on my children and our lives.
Finding Anne-Louise and the DePalo law firm was the greatest blessing. Meeting together with my former spouse and his lawyer in a collaborative environment helped us deal with our matters in the most civil, lucrative and efficient way. We talked through the most difficult issues and found the solutions that worked best for us. Not in a courtroom making attacks, but in a conference room making compromises and finding our best answers. My ex-husband and I continue to run our family business together, our children benefit from quality time spent with their father and we saved real, hard-earned money by not engaging in legal battles against each other.
Thank you Anne-Louise for guiding us!”
“Litigation is mired in the past. Mediation and collaborative law look to the future. Don’t be stuck looking in the rear view mirror, but have your eyes focused on the road ahead.”
